JIZOS

In 2022 we have had the pleasure of holding the awards for the "Ocejón Travel Film Contest in Montgó".

This special contest takes place in Jesús Pobre during the second weekend of November.

In it we can enjoy documentaries, short and not so short. They are selected throughout the year with great effort by a group of people, with Maria José and Alvaro as fundamental pillars. Through them we make wonderful trips, in which we immerse ourselves during those days. We have the pleasure of being able to debate with all attendees and guest directors. A true luxury to enjoy in a town as small, but as culturally active as Jesús Pobre in the Marina Alta.

For such a fantastic event, we made small statuettes called "Jizos". These come from eastern cultures, and are the guardians of travelers, standing next to the roads to accompany them, be their guides and take care of them. There they are very respected and loved by the people, who make offerings to them, especially scarves and hats knitted with red wool to protect them from the cold.

The pieces are made in two different clays, modeled taking care of every detail to obtain these wonders that I hope will accompany each of the people who received them on their journey.
